Join us this Friday, November 3 from 6-10 at Assemble in Pittsburgh for the opening of Collage City: Memory, Experience and Depicting Dreams. Based on the Dream Diary collages by artist-architect Annie Wang, Collage City invites visitors’ to an experience at the intersection of architecture, visual arts, music, sciences, literature, and psychology. Throughout the month-long exhibition, architects, artists, and poets will interpret visitors’ dreams live in the gallery and lead workshops that will challenge visitors to expand the forms in which they represent and interpret their dreams. The public is invited to collaborate on a large-scale dream collage that speaks to the changing nature of the neighborhood and the collective unconscious. In addition, mark your calendars for two of our special workshops at Assemble:

Saturday, November 4, 1-3pm – Crafternoon with Annie Wang! Students K-5 are invited to learn Annie’s collaging and interpretation techniques and make their own dream collages.

Wednesday, November 29, 4-6pm – Workshop with Drafting Dreams! As part of the Assemble Wednesday after-school program students grades 3-5 can participate in a creative workshop hosted by Drafting Dreams.
