Fulfilled: Architecture, Excess, and Desire

In February 2020, Ohio State University Knowlton School of Architecture Assistant Professor Ashley Bigham presented Fulfilled, a symposium and exhibition that considered the role of architecture in a culture shaped by the excessive manufacture and assuagement of desire. The symposium’s contributors examined the architecture of fulfillment through logistical, material, and cultural concerns, revealing the new forms of architectural practice and research that are possible, typical, and even surreptitiously encouraged in this era.

PLP worked with Ashley Bigham to develop a book proposal based on the symposium that was accepted by Applied Research And Design Publishing. We also worked with Bigham to edit the final manuscript for publication, so we're thrilled that the book is now available for purchase—we highly recommend a read.

Congratulations to Bigham and the book's fantastic contributors!
